Things to do
Dublin is one of Europe’s most exciting capital cities. Vibrant and constantly evolving, with a great cultural and social scene, it has something to offer people of all tastes and ages. Keep up with new openings and what’s on at dublintown.ie. Interested in exploring the famous Irish countryside? Then discoverireland.ie is the website for you.
Beechfield’s nursing homes are located in two of the greenest and most beautiful parts of the city, so there are lots of good reasons to live near work.
Mount Hybla Private is a short walk from Dublin’s treasured Phoenix Park, one of Europe’s largest urban parks. Celebrating 350 years, the park is home to Dublin Zoo, herds of wild deer and, adjacent to our care home, the wonderful Farmleigh House and Estate. Also on our doorstep is the picturesque Castleknock village. On the city side you are close to the Museum Quarter, Kilmainham and Smithfield, areas rich in points of interest.
Tourist attractions ring our two South Dublin nursing homes. Close to the Irish Sea coastline, Beechfield Manor and Glengara Park care homes are situated between a series of attractive coastal towns and villages. Shankill, Dalkey, and Sandycove are colourful villages, full of artisan shops, cafes and restaurants. Walk off lunch on Killiney Hill with stunning views of the city and Dublin Mountains or take a relaxing stroll on one of the local beaches. For more adventurous hikers, the famous peaks of Bray Head, Sugar Loaf Mountain and the Wicklow Way are all within easy reach. Nearby Dun Laoghaire is a bigger town, with charming historic architecture, a great pier walk and a People’s Park that regularly transforms into a farmer’s market and festival venue.
